The Planted Seed!

GOD planted seeds in Genesis and he Reaped a harvest in Revelation, but His Seed was different from the seeds for fruits, flowers, and vegetables that we're accustomed to using and thinking about. Jesus came as a baby! The Incorruptible Seed is finally revealed explicitly by the Apostle Peter (lPet1:23).
"And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed". Gen2:8.

The Parable of how The Sower Sows the Seed is found in Mark 4, Luke8, and Matthew 13 -- each book having details not used by the others, so that it requires reading of all four gospels to learn about "the rest of the story", as Paul Harvey used to say..
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit". John 12:24.
DO YOU SEE IT? Jesus IS the SEED -- He HAS been planted (in the womb and in the tomb..) so that His Children ("Now are we the Sons..1Pet3:2) can be Trees of Righteousness, Isa61:3, when we Eat The WORD and learn who we are In Christ.

OUR CONFOUNDED LANGUAGE!

It's the weirdest and most challenging Book you'll ever read, and mostly because of the poetic language, and the figures of speech--which don't literally mean what they say, like when we read about David having a Cup that was overflowing. People have written songs about that account; like how "We're drinking from the saucer, 'cause my Cup has overflowed".. Maybe we didn't know it when we first read Psalm 23, but time and understanding of the language brings us to knowing he was speaking of the blessings of his abundant life.

From Genesis to Revelation (the Book-Ends), these sixty-six books of the Bible have intrigued generations around the world, and the few who have elected to study it seriously (sometimes in complete unbelief!) have mostly become staunch advocates of the Faith, who believe Jesus and The Word always spoke the perfect Truth..

Precept of Halloween?

Shades of Halloween!

This "disguised" biz comes from the Bible! Isaac's wife, Rebekah, was pregnant with twins, and the Lord told her about the "two nations" in her womb, which we now recognize as the Jew and Gentile from what we learn in Rom2:9.
Rebekah put an Esau-disguise on Jacob, Gen27:12, so his father's blessing would come to him -- she had "inquired of the Lord, Gen25:22, and learned how the younger of the twins was going to succeed ahead of Esau the first-born.

Esau was the rugged outdoorsman, while Jacob seemed tied to the apronstrings, but since the scripture says twice about God loving Jacob and hating Esau, Rom9:13/Malachi 1:2 KJV, we may have misunderstood. ?

And [Esau] said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. Gen27:36. [Wrong! Esau is a liar!]

Did Jacob really take away Esau's birthright, or did Esau trade it to him for beans? Hebrews12:16 "Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright". Seems to make him a liar.

We know Jesus as the Son, the Light of the World, the True Bread, the Word, etc., but we don't know, do we, what form he was in before he was placed in Mary's womb. "Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me". Heb 10:5

"For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh". Rom8:3 KJV

"But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men" Phil 2:7

"For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven". 2Cor5:2

So, don't we see the seeds of disguise in the Bible, and can't we acknowledge this truth by not spoiling the kiddows innocent Halloween fun? [True; there will be 'incidents', like what happens in all normal every-day pursuits.]

What say you?

Foolishness! 1Cor 1:25 KJV

Sometime's it's fitting to unravel the knitting
for those who don't get the drift..
We don't want them thinking we've only been drinking
and then to go away miffed.

I'm really dead serious this isn't deleterious
to the gospel preached by Paul..
I only know that the "foolishness of God", 1Cor1:25,
is a truth to be received by ALL.
